Art In My Pocket: An Interview With Mukta @ Born Free

(Whoa that has got to be my longest title yet…)
Hey guys!
Welcome back. I’m doing an interview with the lovely Mukta!
Definitely check out her blog and follow while you’re at it. She’s absolutely A-MA-ZING, I love her style- also credits go to her for my lovely new design!
…Just for fun I’m going to set the atmosphere… *rubs hands together* *starts imagining*
We’re at, the park (I don’t know why…). Admiring nature and metioning our shared love of art…
Leisurely we get to our “interview”.
We each give 5 questions for the other to answer.
Her questions to me:
Since when have you been an artist?
I was born with a paint brush in my hand. No, seriously, I started really pursuing art about 6 years ago.

Which is your prefered medium?

Wow, that’s a hard one….. probably graphite. It’s the easiest to manipulate, for me.

Which art style suits you best?

Realism *thinks about last failed picture*. Nevermind, abstract. Yeah… abstract.

Does inspiration strike you at random times or do you plan on doing art?

Both. Planned: I set in my mind to perfect a certain feature, like lips for instance then I decide to work on making them look more realistc. Random: I get the random idea to perfect my lips… (well that sounded weird)

And finally, Show us three of your best works.

“Pineapple Love”

“Orange By The Slice”

“The Classic Apple”

Yes, all fruit…
That’s it for my side of the interview!
Here were my questions to Mukta:
Will art be apart of your future occupation?
Who’s your role model in the artist community?
Realism or Cartoon?
Fabel Castell or Prismacolor?

What are your three best projects?

Head on over to Born Free to see Mukta’s answers!

  1. Loved your post! <33 Graphite is really good, I almost always do my sketching with it, although I have done some ball pen sketches just for fun. πŸ˜‰ Thanks SO much for doing this with me!

  2. Love your answers!!! That apple looks so beautiful! The pineapple makes me happy. I used to not be attracted to the pineapple trend I’ve been seeing…but…I’m kinda into it now. (I got a pineapple pen in August haha)

          1. Okay, like ONE picture out of the month was a pineapple haha, though I oddly might be okay with 12 pineapples, if it had inspirational quotes, which is what all of my calendars are. (I got them at dollar tree. Haha πŸ™‚ )

        1. Haha, oh 😁 I’ve always liked pineapples. That picture was actually Pinterest inspired. It comes from one of my boards and so does the orange slices ❀

  3. Hi, I am a new reader of your blog. My name is Arhan and I recently started my blog. You may know Saanvi @, who is my sister. I really like your blog so far, and would love it if you followed me at: to help me reach my goal of 20 followers by the end of the year.
    Thank you,

    1. Hi, Arhan! Oh, how cool! Saanvi is a wonderful friend of mine 😊 Thank you! I’d be happy to do so- as a matter of fact, I’ll go follow you now! Welcome to the blogging world, by the way! 😁

          1. Um… let me think…. well, commenting on others post who have a similar blog to yours is one way. Most times if you follow and comment, others will follow you back. That’s what I’ve found. I’ve been blogging for about three months so I’m still feeling my way around, but I hope that helps!
